Reebok has recently stepped into the health tech world. They introduced their first smart ring and teamed up with F45 Training worldwide. The smart ring is a tool to monitor workouts, recovery, and overall health. It costs $249 and tracks various health metrics. These include activities, heart rate, sleep, stress, and body temperature. The ring gives a "One Score" to show overall wellness and readiness. It connects to the Reebok Fitness app, where all the health data is stored.
F45 coaches will now wear Reebok gear. There is also a special collection of co-branded items available on Reebok's website. Tom Dowd, CEO of F45 Training, mentioned that this partnership will enhance workouts globally through gear, technology, and experiences.
The Reebok Smart Ring will face competition from other smart rings like Oura Ring, Ultrahuman Ring, and Samsung Galaxy Ring. The Oura and Ultrahuman Rings have been tested and found lacking in fitness tracking. Reebok might have improved this aspect. Testing of the Reebok Smart Ring is pending.
It is clear that fitness and wellness brands are eager to enter the health tech market. Expect more competition in this growing industry.
