Remedy's New Game: FBC Firebreak – A Co-op Shooter in the Control Universe

Helsinki, FinlandFri Oct 18 2024
Remedy Entertainment is back with a new multiplayer game, FBC: Firebreak, set in the same universe as Control. This time, it's a co-op shooter where teams of three face off against waves of enemies. The game features unique weapons, like a poison-spraying gatling gun and a piston-launched aerial attack gun. Though it's in the same world as Control and Alan Wake II, FBC: Firebreak isn't a direct sequel. It's more of a spin-off, with its own gameplay style and story. The idea for a co-op game has been around since 2021, and Remedy has made some changes since then. They initially planned a free-to-play game with Tencent, but that project was scrapped in 2023. Now, FBC: Firebreak is set for a 2025 release on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5. It will also be available on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and PlayStation Plus for Extra and Premium members.
