Reno’s New Jewelry Spot: Kendra Scott Opens Its First Store

Reno, Nevada, USASat Mar 28 2026
A fresh spark is lighting up Reno’s shopping scene as a popular Texas jewelry brand moves into town. The brand, known for its trendy pieces that sit between everyday wear and luxury, will debut its first location at the Shayden Summit mall in south Reno. The opening is slated for either April or May, according to a mall spokesperson who spoke with the local news outlet. The company behind the brand is based in Austin, Texas. It started in 2002 and has since grown into a lifestyle name that sells more than just jewelry. Necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings are the core products, but the line also includes watches, bags, fragrances, sunglasses and other accessories. Its stores aim to offer stylish options that feel affordable yet polished.
Since its launch, the brand has expanded rapidly. It now operates over 130 physical stores and pop‑up shops across the country, partnering with major retailers such as Dillard’s, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s. By the end of 2024, it employed more than 2, 600 people nationwide. The jewelry’s appeal has traditionally focused on younger shoppers. A standout piece, the Elisa necklace, is especially popular among high school and college students. Yet the brand is broadening its reach. In 2024 it teamed up with Dolly Parton to create a line celebrating the singer’s iconic album, and it also offers a men’s collection called Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott. Reno’s new shop will occupy Suite 502 in the Summit mall, a space that once housed MAC Cosmetics. It sits alongside other popular spots like Sephora and Pandora, making the area a go‑to destination for fashion lovers. The addition of this boutique is expected to bring fresh style options and a new shopping experience to the local community.
