Ridhima Pathak has a story that’s as exciting as any sports match. She started her career in engineering but soon found her true passion in sports broadcasting. This shift wasn’t easy, but her love for sports and storytelling pushed her to make the leap. Over the years, she’s become a popular sports presenter, known for her engaging style and ability to connect with audiences.
Ridhima’s journey began at the MKSSS Cummins College of Engineering for Women, where she studied Instrumentation and Control Engineering. After graduating, she worked as a marketing analyst for an American corporation. But her heart wasn’t in it. She loved sports, especially cricket, thanks to her mother’s influence. This love led her to try her hand at anchoring sports events in Pune.
One of her big breaks came when she met sports journalist Ayaz Memon. He complimented her voice and encouraged her to audition for Star Sports. She did, and the rest is history. Ridhima has since covered many significant sports events, from cricket leagues to the Olympics.
Being a sports presenter means staying unbiased, even when you’re passionate about a team. Ridhima admits it’s hard, but she’s learned to appreciate both wins and losses. She also believes in maintaining fitness, both physical and mental, to handle the demands of her job.
Ridhima isn’t just a sports presenter; she’s also an advocate for inclusivity in sports. She wants to see more diverse voices in sports media and encourages young people, especially women, to follow their passions.
