Florida, USASun Oct 06 2024
Ever dreamed of making it big in the NFL? Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski did, and so did Laith Wallschleger. But not everyone gets their shot on the field. When Gronk was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2010, he became part of an elite duo with Aaron Hernandez. But while Hernandez's career ended tragically, Gronkowski shone brightly. Laith Wallschleger, a former undrafted free agent who played for the Arizona Cardinals, never got his break in the NFL. Instead, he found success on screen, playing Gronk in "American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez. " Wallschleger trained with the best but never made the roster. But acting was always his backup plan. After graduating from Delaware University, he played one season of pro football before trying his hand at acting. It's not the same as playing in the NFL, but it's close enough for a taste.
