Sam Wilson's Big Mission: Rebuilding the Avengers

USASat Feb 15 2025
Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, has a lot on his plate. He's just wrapped up a major battle against the Red Hulk, but his work isn't done yet. The Red Hulk, played by Harrison Ford, was actually President Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross. He was turned into the Red Hulk by Samuel Sterns, also known as the Leader, who had a grudge against Ross. Sterns had a plan to get revenge. He gave Ross heart pills that were secretly laced with gamma radiation. When Ross got angry, he transformed into the Red Hulk. This led to a big fight that destroyed the White House. Sam Wilson, as Captain America, defeated the Red Hulk and locked up Sterns in prison. Ross also decided to serve jail time for his actions. This leaves a big question: who will be the new U. S. president while Ross is in jail? We don't know the answer, but we do know that Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, is making a name for himself in politics. He's set to become a U. S. congressman. Bucky will be in the upcoming "Thunderbolts" movie, but it's unclear if he'll be a politician or part of the anti-hero/villain team. In the post-credits scene, Captain America visits Sterns in prison. Sterns talks about other worlds and threats to Earth. This hints at the multiverse, which fans have already seen in other movies like "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home. " The scene sets up the next "Avengers" movies, "Doomsday" and "Secret Wars, " which will bring together characters from across the multiverse. Robert Downey Jr. will return as Dr. Doom, not Iron Man. This summer's "Fantastic Four" will introduce an alternate world with its own set of superheroes. If they cross over into Captain America's world, will he work with them to face Dr. Doom? Only time will tell if Captain America can reunite Earth's Mightiest Heroes in time to face this ultimate threat to the multiverse.
