In Savannah, a recent round of restaurant inspections showed a mix of top performers and those needing some improvement. Some eateries scored perfectly, while others had a few issues to address. The Georgia Department of Health conducted these inspections between November 19 and November 25, 2025, to ensure food safety for both locals and tourists.
Topping the list with perfect scores were several popular spots. Chazitos Latin Cuisine, known for its Philly Boyz offerings, impressed inspectors. Origin Coffee Bar, a favorite for caffeine lovers, also aced their inspection. Belen De La Cruz, famous for empanadas and pastries, and One for the Road, a cozy hangout, both earned perfect scores. District Seafood Kiosk, Stardew LLC (doing business as Pritchard & Co. ), and That Southern Slap also hit the mark.
Not every restaurant was flawless, though. Chopt, Garibaldi's Escape Restaurant, Poe's Tavern, Clary's Cafe, Cracker Barrel, Waffle House, and 5 Dragon LLC all had some room for improvement. These places scored high to moderate, meaning they had a few issues to fix but were still generally safe.
It's important to note that a single inspection doesn't tell the whole story. Conditions can change, and follow-up inspections might show different results. The Georgia Department of Public Health conducts these regular checks to keep everyone safe. So, while some places need to up their game, overall, Savannah's food scene is looking pretty good.
