Sean 'Diddy' Combs is back in the spotlight with a fresh set of legal challenges. Seven new lawsuits have been filed against him, including claims from minors who say they were drugged and assaulted at his parties. This time, other celebrities are mentioned as being part of the alleged incidents, although their names are not disclosed. One of the lawsuits details a 2000 incident where a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty hosted by Combs in New York. According to the lawsuit, Combs and two unnamed celebrities were present while the girl was being assaulted. Combs' lawyers have denied all allegations, stating that he is confident in the judicial process to clear his name. The newest lawsuits, filed in both federal and state courts on Monday, involve various claims of sexual assault, harassment, and false imprisonment by Combs. These incidents stretch from 2000 to 2022 and span cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Among the plaintiffs, three are women and four are men. Most of them allege they were drugged by Combs.
Another lawsuit includes a claim from a 17-year-old aspiring artist who says he was drugged and assaulted at a party in 2022. Combs allegedly offered him a drink and promised to make him a star. In addition to these new cases, Combs is already facing civil lawsuits from over 120 alleged victims, including minors, filed by attorneys Tony Buzbee and Andrew Van Arsdale. Federal prosecutors have also accused Combs of running a criminal enterprise through his business empire, involving sex trafficking, forced labor, and physical abuse. Combs has pleaded not guilty to these federal charges. As of now, Combs is being held in custody in New York awaiting his trial, set to begin in May. His attorneys have requested that the judge prohibits potential witnesses from making public statements that could interfere with the trial. Since November 2023, at least 25 civil lawsuits have been filed against Combs, with claims of sexual assault or misconduct. The initial lawsuit, filed by his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura, was settled the next day. The remaining cases are still active.
