In September, Feldstein passed this document to Israeli media, hoping to influence public opinion regarding hostage negotiations. Earlier that month, Israel had confirmed the deaths of six hostages held in Gaza. Due to censorship, local media couldn't report on the leak, so Feldstein turned to foreign outlets. Articles appeared in the UK and Germany, seemingly backing Netanyahu's stance. Opposition leaders pointed fingers at Netanyahu's office, but his spokesperson denied any involvement. They claimed the accused didn't discuss security matters and the leak didn't affect negotiations.
