Secret Service Needs Major Changes After Trump Incident

A recent panel investigation looked into the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania rally. The results? The Secret Service is in need of some big changes! They found that the agency didn't do a great job securing the building where the shooter was, and there were lots of communication problems between the Secret Service and local law enforcement. The panel also pointed out that the Secret Service didn't assess the risks to Trump properly and had a culture of trying to do more with less. They suggested bringing in new leaders from outside the agency, focusing more on protective duties, and making some big improvements to how events are secured. The Secret Service agreed to make some changes and is working on retaining personnel, updating technology, and improving training. This isn't the first time the agency has been told to change, though. A decade ago, a similar review was done after someone jumped the White House fence.
