Sesame Street's Streaming Journey Takes a New Turn

Kids' favorite show Sesame Street is moving out of Max's neighborhood after next season. Warner Bros. Discovery, the owners of Max, decided not to renew their deal with Sesame Workshop. So, new episodes won't be premiering on Max anymore. You might be wondering, "What's the plan? " Well, Max is shifting gears to focus more on adult content and wider family favorites, like the upcoming Harry Potter series in 2026. Don't worry, all the current episodes will still be streaming on Max until 2027. Last year, Sesame Workshop's Kay Wilson Stalling mentioned that the upcoming season was going to be a fresh take on the show with longer stories and more complex narratives. It's interesting to note that other streaming services like Disney+, Netflix, and even YouTube Kids have a lot more kids' content. So, where will Sesame Street end up next? Only time will tell!
