Sexual Harassment Claims Rock TV Show Set
Los Angeles, USASat May 31 2025
A recent legal battle has brought to light serious allegations of sexual harassment on the set of the popular medical drama, "Doctor Odyssey. " Three former crew members have taken legal action against the show's production company and its parent firm, accusing them of turning a blind eye to a persistent culture of harassment.
The lawsuit was filed in a Los Angeles court by Caroline Mack, Alicia Haverland, and Ava Steinbrenner. They claim that Tyler Patton, an assistant in the props department, subjected them to a barrage of inappropriate behavior. This included lewd jokes, unwanted physical contact, and even sending explicit images disguised as news links. One particularly shocking incident involved Patton sending a fake news story that led to a graphic image.
Patton's alleged misconduct was not a secret. The crew members reported his behavior to management, but it seems that their complaints fell on deaf ears. In fact, the lawsuit claims that Patton's wife, Tammie, who was the lead prop master, was aware of his past allegations of harassment. Despite this knowledge, she allegedly hired him for the job. Tammie was also accused of retaliating against the plaintiffs after her husband was fired, further complicating the situation.
The lawsuit paints a picture of a toxic work environment where harassment was allowed to flourish. The plaintiffs allege that Disney, the parent company, did little to address the issue and instead chose to lay off the entire props department. This move was seen as an attempt to sweep the problem under the rug and avoid dealing with the fallout. The plaintiffs also claim that they have been blacklisted by Disney, making it difficult for them to find work in the industry.
The future of "Doctor Odyssey" is now uncertain, as it has not been renewed for a second season. This legal battle has cast a shadow over the show and raised questions about the industry's handling of harassment claims. As the case unfolds, it serves as a reminder of the importance of creating safe and respectful work environments, especially in high-pressure industries like television production.
