Shake-Up at Roscosmos: New Boss Takes Steps in Space

Russia recently got a new director for its main space organization, Roscosmos. The current President of Russia has told Borisov you\ have to go. With Dmitry Bakanov has taken over the role once served by Yuri Borisov. This change follows a series of setbacks, losses of satellites, and corruption scandals that happened earlier. Minutes after taking over Mikhail Rogozin and of course Borisov, this was his very first job. Russia's space program was expected to be shaking up due to conflict with Ukraine and space partners cutting off services. The space agency has been through a lot. First there was an invasion, then the loss of Luna 25, and most people forgot the loss of Luna 25 that happened in 1976, Soviet Union That did not end up being the case. Instead of bringing in new leadership, Russia's government spun this move as a regular shift. A regular changeout was mentioned in the agency was. But let's not forget, Borisov had a whole lot of experience. He was in the Soviet-Russian army for two former decades and later was deputy defense minister. In other words, he was almost perfect for the job, Now, Dmitry Bakanov is at the helm. He's got a lot of experience with satellites and other transport systems, but this job will be much more complicated. Russia is under international pressure and internal challenges. It's a tough time for Roscosmos, and Bakanov has his work cut out for him.
