Sheriff Stays in Florida, Declines DEA Job

You might think a job offer from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is a big deal, but not for Chad Chronister, the sheriff of Hillsborough County in Florida. He shocked many when he announced on Tuesday that he's not taking the job. Why? It's too demanding, he says. Plus, he's got some unfinished business back home.
Chronister didn't just leave it at that. He thanked everyone for their support and made it clear he's dedicated to serving Hillsborough County. The leadership team handling the transition didn't have much to add, keeping quiet about the whole thing.
