Singapore Airlines Unveils Upgraded A350 and 777-9 Suites
SingaporeWed Nov 06 2024
Singapore Airlines has just revealed the designs for the first class and business class suites on their upcoming Boeing 777-9 and Airbus A350ULR aircraft. These new suites promise to set new standards for luxury and comfort in flight. Interestingly, the airline won't wait for the 777-9 to debut these suites. Instead, they will first be introduced on the A350 fleet from mid-2026, with the A350ULRs getting the first class suites from early 2027. This rollout is part of a significant $1. 1 billion upgrade aimed at redefining premium travel experiences on Singapore Airlines' network.
The first class suites on the 777-9 and A350ULR feature elegant sliding doors and electric concertina blinds for window shades. The large monitor and spacious layout suggest a comfortable bed option. On the 777-9, the first class cabin is expected to have six suites, with the middle two suites convertible into a spacious double suite.
For business class, the new suites on the 777-9 and A350 will include sliding doors, a large footwell for better sleeping, and a forward-facing staggered layout. This design addresses common issues in current long-range business class seats, such as diagonal sleeping and flipping seats for bed mode.
