Nangang Exhibition Center, Taipei, TaiwanWed Nov 06 2024
On a bustling Tuesday, the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) and Singapore's MediaCorp shook hands during the kickoff of the Taiwan Creative Content Fest. Leading the exchange were TAICCA's chair, Homme Tsai, and MediaCorp's chief content officer, Virginia Lim. Their agreement aims to boost film and TV co-production, sharpen skills, and bring top-tier content to global markets. Tsai hopes Taiwanese firms will dispatch staff to Singapore for training, while Lim urges wider collaboration among creative and production talent. The festivity saw 101 exhibitors and over 300 international professionals from 30 countries, highlighting a vibrant, international atmosphere. Notable attendees included Franck Paris from the French Office in Taipei, Fernando Schmidt from the Chilean Trade Office, and Philippe Tzou from the Belgian Office. The new venue at the Nangang Exhibition Center symbolizes a shift towards commercial viability, according to Tsai, who envisions private sector-informed investments making a significant impact on Taiwanese creative content.
