A basketball coaches clinic is headed to Sioux Falls. The event happens at the Sanford Pentagon on Sunday, November 8, 2026. The South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association and Sanford Sports Academy are running it. Coaches will meet to swap stories and pick up new ideas. They can think about what works best for their own teams.

It costs forty dollars to sign up ahead of time online. Paying at the door costs fifty dollars. You can register early through a website link. Check-in starts at eight-thirty in the morning. Coaches who won state titles in 2026 will lead the talks.

The schedule is full of short sessions. Tom Young from Ethan kicks things off from nine to nine-fifty. He won the State B girls championship and will share lessons from over thirty-five years of coaching. Tim Buddenhagen of Huron follows from nine-fifty-five to ten-forty-five. He won State AA boys and will discuss defense and drills. Kent Kolsrud from O'Gorman speaks from ten-fifty to eleven-forty. He won State AA girls and will talk about keeping a program strong and players hungry.

After a break, Matt Rama of Mahpiya Luta talks from one to one-fifty. He is a Class A girls coach chasing a title he has not won yet. Lance Friesen of Freeman leads from one-fifty-five to two-forty-five. He won Class B boys and will cover culture change and helpful drills. Adam Quail of Lennox closes from two-fifty to three-forty. He coaches Class A girls and will show drills that build toughness.

Lunch runs from eleven-fifty to one. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes supplies the meal. There will also be a membership meeting and vendor tables during that hour.
