Six Flags saw more visitors this summer compared to last year. Over nine weeks, 17. 8 million people went to their parks. This is a 2% increase. The company's leader, Richard A. Zimmerman, said they are happy with this growth. He believes their plans are working well. They are getting ready for busy fall events, like Halloween. But, even with more visitors, the company made less money per person. They had big sales to attract crowds. For example, they offered almost 50% off tickets for Six Flags Over Texas. This brought in more people but lowered their earnings. Other entertainment companies did similar things. Topgolf and Live Nation also had sales. Disney cut prices for some park and hotel bookings. All these companies rely on summer for big crowds. But Six Flags needed this summer more than others. Their spring numbers were not good. Bad weather caused a big drop in visitors. The company is still feeling pressure after merging with Cedar Fair last year. Their headquarters moved to Charlotte, N. C. But, because of their strong summer, they are sticking to their earnings goal of around $900 million for the year. They are also investing in new attractions, like a new rollercoaster at Six Flags Over Texas. Zimmerman said they have made good choices since the merger. They are excited to keep improving their parks. He is confident they will end 2025 strong. They plan to meet their cost-saving goals and earnings guidance.
