Six Years of Updates for Samsung's Mid-Range Phones: A Game Changer

This is big news for those who love to keep their phones up-to-date without breaking the bank. The Galaxy A16 5G will receive six major Android OS updates and all the One UI versions in between. That's nearly as many updates as the top-tier flagship phones get, which is impressive for a more affordable device. Plus, you'll also get security updates for those six years.This new policy might mean that other mid-range Samsung phones will follow suit. If your phone is in the Galaxy A1x lineup, it could be eligible for these long-term updates too. Even costlier mid-rangers like those in the Galaxy A5x lineup might get seven years of support, but we'll have to wait for official confirmation from Samsung.
