Sky Zone’s Tax Trouble: A $1‑Million Debt Revealed
Syracuse, NY, USAMon Apr 06 2026
The owner of a popular trampoline park in Central New York is facing a huge tax bill.
State records show that the former franchisee owes almost one million dollars in unpaid sales taxes.
The debt, now over $994, 000 as of late March, comes from money the park collected but never sent to the state.
These taxes were due for sales made by Sky Zone, a local entertainment venue.
The current managing partner, Pam Tuohey, took over the franchise rights in 2021.
She did not acquire the original company that owned those rights, Syracuse Fun and Fitness LLC.
That earlier entity is still liable for the tax debt.
Tuohey says the business will stay honest and follow all rules.
She added that they are committed to operating with integrity.
The tax department issued a warrant in January 2026 against Syracuse Fun and Fitness.
This is one of 31 warrants filed over the past year for debts of at least $50, 000.
The largest warrant belongs to J and J Smoke Shop in Liverpool, with more than $1. 16 million owed.
Several other warrants involve the same shop.
A list of the biggest sales‑tax debts in Onondaga County is available online.
It shows that some businesses have both corporate and personal warrants for the same debt.
The amounts on these warrants can change.
Interest and penalties may raise the balance, while repayment plans could lower it.
The figures listed are as of March 27 and may have shifted since then.
