Skydance Names New Ad Bosses After Big Media Merger

Skydance just closed a massive media deal. The price tag was 110 billion dollars. This month, Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery became one company. Skydance now controls a long list of brands. That list includes Paramount+, HBO Max, CBS, CNN, and Warner Bros. The new owner needed fresh leaders for its advertising business. It makes you wonder how ads will change.

Jay Askinasi is the top ad revenue person at Skydance. He wrote a memo to his team. The memo named the new leaders. Danielle Carney will lead sales in the United States. Jill Steinhauser will manage ad partnerships. Christine Hong will run revenue operations. Chris Brady will lead Skydance Media Labs. Ed Romaine will handle ad marketing. Evan Giamanco will take care of product strategy and measurement.

Some leaders are staying in their current roles. Steve Ellis remains chief operating officer for advertising. He has worked at Paramount since 2022. He is also helping with the merger. Lee Sears keeps leading international ads for Paramount. The group is still studying Warner Bros. Discovery's international business. They will decide the right structure later.

Two executives from Warner Bros. Discovery are staying on for a while. Ryan Gould and Bobby Voltaggio will partner with Skydance through the fourth quarter. Askinasi told staff the plan is simple. Fewer layers of management. Leaders who stay close to the work. The team will organize around how clients plan and buy ads. They will use shared data to make faster decisions. A Skydance spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.
