Sleepy Soldiers

A young woman's journey to sleepy soldier life began with a surprise. She never thought she'd give a Call of Duty game a chance. She was used to hearing boys at school laugh about it, even imagined milk coming out of their noses. She thought these games were not for girls. Not for her. She thought the games were limited to boys and used her video games experience to relate to why she thought this way. A girl playing Call of Duty and talking to teammates via voice chat usually ended in insults or worse.
It was not long before she got her boyfriend into the game. The boyfriend loved Black Ops 6. It wasn't long before she started falling asleep to the sounds of gunfire and announcements such as ""All mission objectives met, " and "They never stood a chance. "These became like a white noise machine.
She was weirded out about the violence at first. She thought it was too real. She normally never thought about a video game that had a lot of violence. She normally felt it was fine.
Black Ops 6 had a lot of funny things that were happening. Players would blow themselves up just for fun, or do embarrassing dances or celebrations to win the match. This new version of Call of Duty was a lot more goofy, and she started to think of it as a shortcut to sleep.
She thought the game itself was ridiculous. She did worry that the game might be getting to her. She had to decide whether to laugh at the game or be taken in by its propaganda. She decided it was better to have fun with the game and not be afraid. She decided it was better to laugh about it than be scared. She decided it was better to have fun with the game than to be scared of it. It worked out for her.
