Germany's rising star, Harriet Herbig-Matten, has just joined Magnolia Entertainment for representation. This milestone comes after her breakout role in Prime Video's series hit, Maxton Hall, based on Mona Kasten's bestselling novel. The show quicky became a global smash, drawing more viewers than any other international original on Prime Video in its first week and topping charts in over 120 countries.
Herbig-Matten plays Ruby, a clever scholarship student who's caught in a web of secrets at the exclusive Maxton Hall school. Her character strikes up an unlikely alliance with James Beaufort, a wealthy heir played by Damian Hardung. As they risk it all to be together, the series has captivated audiences worldwide, leading to a speedy renewal for a second season.
Since her success, the actress has drawn attention from top fashion houses and has continued to make her mark on various screens. Her acting journey started with roles in UFA Fiction's YA series Das Pubertier and Prime Video series Bibi & Tina. More recently, she starred in the German TV movie The Fairy Tale of the Magic Flute opposite Jessica Schwarz and is part of Apple TV+’s first German original series Where's Wanda? , which has been renewed for a second season.
Beyond her on-screen roles, Herbig-Matten’s agency, Lido, and Malve Management, continue to support her burgeoning career. She's already made waves in various film projects like Nie zu spät, Confessions of Felix Krull, and guest appearances in TV series Ein starkes Team and The Nordic Murders.
Herbig-Matten’s journey is a fascinating example of how a compelling performance in a popular series can open countless doors. It highlights the importance of storytelling in shaping our perceptions and shouldn’t be overlooked in today's fast-paced entertainment landscape.
