Small-Town Sleuths: Murder Mysteries Return for Season 2
British Columbia, CanadaFri Jan 17 2025
Fox has decided to bring back the crime series "Murder in a Small Town" for a second season. This show, starring Rossif Sutherland and Kristin Kreuk, is based on the award-winning Karl Alberg book series. The first season used a few books from the series, and there are still plenty more stories to explore in the upcoming season.
This series is part of Fox's strategy to produce cost-effective international content. It's also a big win for Future Shack Entertainment, which has a model for international co-productions. Brooke Bowman, an executive at Fox, is excited about the show's future and the partnership with Sepia Films and Future Shack.
The series has been a hit with viewers, especially on Hulu, where it ranks high among new shows. It's also been a money-maker for Future Shack, thanks to its distribution by ITV Studios. The show's first season ended in November, and fans are eager to see what happens next.
The story follows Karl Alberg, a detective who moves to a peaceful coastal town to escape the stress of big-city police work. However, he soon discovers that this seemingly quiet town has its own dark secrets. The series is produced in British Columbia and has a talented team behind it, including head writer Ian Weir.
