In a recent study, researchers came up with a clever algorithm to find the best places for these sensors. They used a smart method called NSGA-II to look at roads, people density, terrain, and even satellite data of PM2.5 on the ground. The results were tested in a big city, showing that this algorithm can find the best spots for sensors while saving money and keeping high accuracy. Satellite data was really helpful in finding these spots. This new way of tracking air quality helps find pollution hotspots, understand health risks, and plan better policies to make our cities healthier.
