Snoop's Post-Performance Fast Food Run Stirs Up Buzz
Washington, DC, USATue Jan 21 2025
Over the weekend, the iconic rapper Snoop Dogg made a surprising stop at Washington DC’s McDonald’s drive-thru right after performing at a hot cryptocurrency event. This fast food jaunt didn’t go unnoticed. Snoop was apparently experiencing a classic case of "the munchies, " a term often associated with increased appetite, particularly after certain activities.
He performed at the inaugural Crypto Ball, a high-profile event that also attracted other big names. After rocking the stage, he headed straight for the famous fast food spot, fueling up before hitting up the nightclub Heist to keep the party going.
Arriving with an entourage of about 15, including his son Cordell Broadus, Snoop quickly became the center of attention. Fans went wild, cheering and requesting pictures as he stepped in with bags of devoured McDonald's food.
Earlier in the night, Snoop had taken the stage at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium, performing solo and even serving as his own DJ. This performance, however, didn’t sit right with some fans who remembered Snoop’s strong stance against Donald Trump a few years back.
In 2017, Snoop was filmed pointing a toy gun at a Trump impersonator in a music video and had criticized artists who considered performing at Trump’s inauguration. Now, performing at an event connected to Trump, Snoop's move had some people questioning his loyalty to his earlier beliefs.
Despite the backlash, Snoop hasn’t directly addressed the criticism. Instead, he posted a video clip of the late Charlie Murphy dancing, hinting at a dismissal of his critics. Elon Musk, on the other hand, saw this move as a sign of changing times, commenting on his platform, “The vibe shift is real. ”
It's clear that Snoop’s actions have sparked conversations and raised questions about changes in his stance and the broader shift in vibes within the industry.
