Snow Alert! KFL&A Braces for December Snow Squalls
KFL&A, Kingston, CanadaTue Dec 03 2024
Are you ready for some wild weather in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox, and Addington (KFL&A)? Environment Canada just sent out a "snow squall watch" for the region. This means we might see heavy snowfall, with up to 20 cm possible on Tuesday night and Wednesday, December 4, 2024. But don't be surprised if you see clear skies just a few kilometers away—that's the fun of snow squalls!
These sudden snowstorms can bring poor visibility and make traveling tough. If you must hit the road, let someone know where you're going and pack an emergency kit. Public Safety Canada suggests having water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit, and a flashlight handy.
The snow squalls are expected to come in from Lake Ontario and stick around until Wednesday night. So, keep an eye on Environment Canada's alerts and forecasts for updates.
