Snow and Cold on the Way: Get Ready!
Colorado, USASat Jan 18 2025
Need to get ready for some snow and chilly temps this weekend? Let's break it down. On Friday, we'll start with some cloudy skies and mild temps in the mid-40s. As the day goes on, watch out for some snow showers sneaking in by evening. Expect a bit of snow, maybe 2 to 4 inches, with areas along the Palmer Divide and eastern slopes possibly getting more.
Wake up on Saturday to some seriously cold temps, around 6 to 10 degrees. The skies will be mostly cloudy, and there might be more snow showers. We could see another inch or two of snow during the day, with highs reaching just 12 to 17 degrees.
Sunday gets even colder. Morning lows could dip as low as 2 to 6 degrees below zero. During the day, it'll be partly to mostly cloudy, with highs only reaching 8 to 12 degrees. There’s a chance for evening snow showers too.
Why is this important? First, it means you should check on your winter gear. Make sure your snow tires are ready, and you have your coziest sweaters on hand. It's also a good idea to help your neighbors and check in on anyone who might need a little extra help in this weather.
