Snow in the South: Historic Storm Causes Chaos
Southern US Gulf Coast, New Orleans, Mobile, Pensacola, Houston, Jacksonville, USAWed Jan 22 2025
A massive winter storm swept through the southern United States, dumping record-breaking snow in places like Florida and Louisiana. This is unusual for the region, which isn't used to such harsh winter weather. The storm led to road closures, flight cancellations, and even deaths. Even though the snow is stopping, temperatures are still very low, making roads slippery again. Many people are worried about the cold, especially those without homes. Officials are warning people to stay safe and avoid traveling if possible.
