Fans eagerly awaiting Sophie Turner’s new show might need to adjust their viewing schedules. After its premiere on Wednesday, The CW has decided to move the series "Joan" to Fridays at 9 PM ET starting October 11. This change puts it in place of another popular show, “Inside the NFL. ”
The show is based on a true story and follows Turner’s character, Joan ‘The Godmother’ Hannington, who escapes an abusive relationship with her daughter by assuming new identities and becoming a skilled jewel thief. It’s all part of her plan to provide a safe and secure home for herself and her child.
"Joan" is directed by Richard Maxton and features a talented cast including Frank Dillane, Kirsty J Curtis, Gershwyn Eustache Jr. , Laura Aikman, Nick Blood, Jack Greenlees, Alex Blake, Caroline Faber, and Dorothy Atkinson. The series airs not only on The CW in the US but also on CBC in Canada and ITV in the UK. For those who prefer streaming, all episodes will be available on ITVX.
This six-part limited series is produced by Snowed-In Productions and is inspired by Joan Hannington’s 2004 memoir "I Am What I Am. " If you want to follow Turner's character as she navigates her extraordinary journey, be sure to tune in on Fridays.
