South Carolina Rep Exposes Abuse Case
South Carolina USATue Feb 11 2025
Forget the buzz around the South Carolina Representative Nancy Mace's announcement.
It could have been just another day in the House.
Everyone was listening as she accused her past partner and three of his friends as the perpetrators of some very serious crimes. The crimes included Rape, Voyeurism, and other nasty sexual violations inflicted on women. In the crime she talked about engaged young girls in the same process.
It all started, when Mace found something suspicious on her partner phone. He had over 10, 000 videos and images. The content on the phone was obscene, showing the sexual abuse of women and young girls.
“The group of men seemed so righteous and humane, ” the representative explained. “ I was shocked to see the disgusting horrors they committed. They recorded and kept these videos and images as “rockstar” moments of their life. The crimes ranged from involuntary sex acts, to voyeurism and other indecencies. Did anyone know about these shocking activities?
Unfortunately some victims did not understand what went wrong with them. There were underage girls among the victims and parents who suddenly found child pornography pictures of her daughter. Did these girls have a chance of ever recovering from such trauma?
She drummed up the courage to gather evidence and share it with other lawmakers.
She tested that arena. The main lawmaker of South Carolina's Justice Department wasn't keen on this. He was a bit sluggish to get involved in the incident. Contra-positive evidence wasn’t presented.
In her words, the investigative team was slowed to infeasibility by the state attorney. What's the point of having laws if they aren't in a hurry to be enforced.
Is it really a crime only if it is presented with direct evidence?
Worse still, Mace stated that the state attorney general was involved in covering these crimes up. The Attorney General of the United States of America?
She did not care what people thought of her, she did not care whether people believed her or not.
The men at the centre of the crime, along with his three friends were up for a tedious punishment. Two of his main business associates, including the Attorney General of South Carolina tried to cover up the incident. Musgrave and Wilson, Mace’s business associates, were quick to shy away from the media. Alan Wilson was particularly keen on cutting all ties to the men. The Attorney General was deeply involved in the cover-up.
The biggest blow came when the predator who had orchestrated these events denied any involvement. To add more to the mix, the Attorney General himself asked for a review. This means it was no problem at all and the legislation process wasn't tainted.
