Spain's Socialist Party, PSOE, is in hot water. They said sorry for not handling sexual harassment complaints well. This is a big deal because they've always been big on women's rights. But now, people are saying they set up a way for women to report harassment, but then didn't do anything about it.
The party's secretary, Rebeca Torro, promised to do better. She said they're not trying to hide anything. But some people in the party and even their coalition partners are not happy. They say the party isn't doing enough to stop harassment.
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has been loud about supporting women. He even put more women in top jobs than men when he started. But now, women in his party and even other leaders are saying he's not doing enough.
There have been reports of harassment against some party officials. One party member, Angeles Ferriz, said this kind of behavior is tearing them apart. She said they can't let people think they don't care about women's rights.
A union leader, Unai Sordo, said there should be zero tolerance for harassment. He blamed it on deep-rooted sexism in Spanish society.
This is a big problem for the Socialists. They've always been seen as the party for women's rights. But now, people are questioning if they really mean it.
