To find out, they asked 360 people to fill out a survey. Then, they used a special method to analyze the results. This method is called structural equation modeling. It helps to see how different things are connected. The results showed that the most important things were how useful people thought the feature was and their attitude towards it. Other things, like what others think or how entertaining it is, did not directly affect the choice. But they could still have an indirect effect. Interestingly, the quality of the video content did not stop people from watching it at double speed. In fact, people sometimes watched high-quality content at double speed. This is a unique finding. This research can help video platforms improve their double-speed feature. It can also help make the user experience better and reduce the feeling of not having enough time.
