The project was led by Grammy winner Aureo Baqueiro, who kept the original music and background vocals but replaced Lee's lead vocals with a new Spanish-language vocal created using SoundLab's AI MicDrop tool.The tool, an audio plug-in, can transform someone's voice into another person's voice, making it seem like Lee was back in the recording booth at age 13, singing the song in Spanish. Universal Music Group praised the use of responsible AI technology for creating this new version.
