Thirty-one years later, Stacey Williams, a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, has decided to share a troubling encounter she had with Donald Trump. She alleges that in 1993, Jeffrey Epstein took her to Trump Tower, where Trump groped her while Epstein watched. This revelation comes during a critical time in the election cycle, and Williams believes it’s crucial to share her story. Williams first met Epstein at a dinner in 1992 and attended a Christmas party at the Plaza Hotel with him. Trump, who owned the hotel at the time, was also there, and it was clear he and Epstein were friends. Later, on a sunny day in early 1993, Epstein suggested they visit Trump at Trump Tower. Williams recalls feeling shocked and uncomfortable as Trump groped her within moments of their meeting. The encounter, which Williams says lasted about five to 10 minutes, happened in a reception area outside Trump’s office. Despite the distressing experience, Williams didn't immediately cut ties with Epstein. She recalls feeling confused and humiliated after the incident, as Epstein blamed her for letting Trump touch her. A postcard from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort arrived at her modeling agency days later, signed with a message similar to Trump’s handwriting. Williams has kept this postcard as a reminder of the incident. Williams decided to go public with her story on a "Survivors for Kamala" Zoom call, which featured other women sharing their experiences with sexual violence. She emphasizes that her decision to speak out is not politically motivated but driven by a desire to prevent Trump from returning to the White House. The Trump campaign has denied Williams' allegations, calling them false. However, seven people who spoke with Williams between 2006 and 2022 have found her story credible. This allegation is notable because it involves Epstein, who is known for his connections to powerful individuals and was convicted of sex trafficking minors before his death in 2019. Williams's story is just one of many allegations against Trump. In a 2005 video, Trump was recorded making inappropriate comments about women, which became known as the “Access Hollywood” tape. Despite these allegations, Trump has continued to deny any wrongdoing. Williams hopes that sharing her experience will encourage others to speak out against sexual assault.
