Back in 2016, a bunch of famous folks in Hollywood said they'd pack their bags and leave the US if Donald Trump won the presidency. But here we are, a decade later, and most of them are still here. Funny how that works, right? Sharon Stone, the actress known for her roles in movies like "Basic Instinct, " said she was thinking about moving to Italy. She even called Trump's campaign "a platform of hate and oppression. " But guess what? She's still in the US. Cher, the iconic singer, told a newspaper in 2023 that she almost got an ulcer the last time Trump was in office. She said if he wins again, she'll leave. But for now, she's still here, singing and shining. Barbra Streisand, another legendary singer, has been saying she'd leave the country if Trump becomes president. She's mentioned moving to England, Canada, or Australia. But she's still in the US, making music and movies.Bruce Springsteen, the famous singer-songwriter, said he'd consider moving to Australia if Trump won again. But he's still here, performing and campaigning for other politicians. Bryan Cranston, known for his role in "Breaking Bad, " said he'd definitely move if Trump were elected. But he's still in the US, acting in movies and TV shows. Miley Cyrus, the pop star, had some strong words about Trump in 2016. She even said she'd move out of the country. But she later changed her mind and said she wouldn't abandon the US. And sure enough, she's still here. So, what's the deal? Why did these celebrities say they'd leave but stay? Maybe they realized that moving isn't the answer. Or maybe they just like living in the US. Whatever the reason, one thing is clear: they're not as quick to leave as they thought they'd be.
