Staten Island's Weekend Weather: Rain and Wind on the Way
Staten Island, USASat Nov 15 2025
Staten Island is in for a wild weather ride this weekend. Rain is expected to arrive Saturday evening, with temperatures climbing into the 50s. But don't get too comfortable, because a cold front is on its way, bringing strong winds that will stick around through Sunday.
The rain is forecasted to start after sunset on Saturday, with showers spreading across the NYC metro area by early evening. Morning temperatures will be chilly, in the 20s and 30s, but they'll warm up to the upper 40s by afternoon. As a warm front moves in from the southwest, temperatures will keep rising into the 50s through the evening, while clouds thicken up.
Sunday is when things get really windy. West-northwest winds will pick up, with gusts reaching 30 to 35 mph. Some gusts could even hit 40 mph, making it feel much colder than it actually is. The strongest winds will likely happen overnight into early morning, but they'll stick around all day.
Monday is shaping up to be the coldest day of the week, with highs only reaching the mid-40s. But those gusty winds won't let up, blowing at 25 to 30 mph and making it feel more like the 30s. The good news? The weather should stay dry through early next week.
Things start looking up by Tuesday, with winds calming down and conditions becoming light to calm by midweek. Temperatures will stay below normal through Wednesday, but they'll return to normal by Thursday and even rise slightly above normal by Friday. Rain chances increase Thursday night into Friday, but the weather service isn't sure about the exact track and timing of a low pressure system that could affect the region late in the week.
