New York City, USATue Sep 24 2024
The streets of 90s NYC are about to get a whole lot wilder with the arrival of D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai in Darren Aronofsky's crime thriller Caught Stealing. Woon-A-Tai, the talented 22-year-old Oji-Cree First Nations actor, has joined the cast alongside Austin Butler, who will play the lead role of Hank Thompson. The story follows Hank, a former baseball player, as he gets tangled up in a survival fight in the city's criminal underworld. Woon-A-Tai will take on the role of Dale, Hank's old high school friend, bringing his own unique flair to the project. This isn't his first rodeo, though - he's been making waves in the industry with his breakout role in FX's Reservation Dogs, which earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. But what sets Woon-A-Tai apart from other young actors is his impressive range. He's also been working on Warfare, a leading role in a film set for release in 2025, alongside big names like Cosmo Jarvis, Noah Centineo, and Will Poulter. And let's not forget his credits in Fitting In, Only the Good Survive, and Hell of a Summer, which showcase his ability to adapt to different genres and roles. With his talent and versatility, Woon-A-Tai is sure to steal the show in Caught Stealing. And with a cast that also includes Vincent D'Onofrio, Zoë Kravitz, Regina King, Matt Smith, Liev Schreiber, Will Brill, Bad Bunny, and Griffin Dunne, this crime thriller is shaping up to be one wild ride.
