Storms Give Way to Sunny Fall Days
Colorado, USAMon Oct 21 2024
A small but intense storm system in the Four Corners area of Southwest Colorado brought some heavy thunderstorms to eastern Pueblo and La Plata Counties on Sunday evening. Winds reached speeds close to 40 mph, and pea-sized hail fell east of Pueblo. As the storm moves across the Southeast Plains overnight, another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected. After that, the weather will become drier.
Temperatures will drop to the low 40s overnight, and a bit of patchy fog may appear after sunrise on Monday morning. From then on, the work week will be filled with sunny skies, with daytime highs ranging from the upper 60s to the lower 70s. Even next Saturday, you can count on sunshine.
For those heading to the high country, expect mostly dry roads on Monday morning, but you might see a fresh layer of snow on the Sangre de Cristo Range, the Wet Mountains, and the San Juan Mountains. Enjoy the week ahead!
