Tue Aug 27 2024
Two brave astronauts, Barry 'Butch' Wilmore and Sunita 'Suni' Williams, find themselves in a real-life sci-fi thriller as they are stranded in space aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
Originally scheduled for a week-long mission as part of Boeing Starliner's debut crew flight test, the spacecraft's issues have extended their stay on the ISS for several months. NASA will make a decision by mid-August if Wilmore and Williams can return on Starliner or if they will have to wait for a SpaceX rescue. While aboard, they assist the seven other astronauts with daily tasks. Wilmore, a 'Top Gun' fan, and Williams, a spacewalk veteran and Jacques Cousteau enthusiast, keep themselves busy and trained for their extended stay.
Their families and friends expected their return much sooner, but these astronauts prove that space exploration is a patient exploration is a patient
