Studio82: A New Home for Fresh TV Ideas
USAMon Mar 30 2026
Jenny Daly, who once led the production of shows like American Ninja Warrior, has stepped into a new role as founder and CEO of Studio82. The company will create both unscripted and scripted series, with a special focus on projects for well‑known creators and celebrities. It also plans to launch a division that targets young adult audiences, tapping into the growing demand for YA content.
After leaving her previous position five months ago, Daly announced that Studio82 will partner with Trusted Media Brand Studios. The partnership aims to transform Reader’s Digest intellectual property into engaging television series. In addition, Daly has teamed up with producers Sean Kelly and Steve Hughes—known for shows such as Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity? and Big Brother—to develop fresh concepts that blend reality with entertainment.
Daly’s experience includes executive producing the hit Netflix drama Ginny & Georgia, which is currently filming its fourth season. She also has a track record of successful projects from her time at Critical Content, such as the Sylvester Stallone documentary Sly and the Home Edit series Get Organized. These achievements demonstrate her ability to navigate both documentary and scripted formats.
The new studio intends to work closely with high‑profile creators, ensuring that each project benefits from strong creative input and industry connections. By focusing on “undeniable content, ” Daly hopes to carve out a reliable path to success in an increasingly crowded media landscape.
Beyond scripted dramas, Studio82 will collaborate with Veritas Entertainment’s Peter Jaysen and Alan Gasmer. The duo produced the Timothée Chalamet film A Complete Unknown, and together they will explore a range of scripted projects and documentaries that push creative boundaries.
Daly’s vision for Studio82 is to steer her own ship, fostering collaboration with top talent and bringing innovative storytelling to audiences worldwide. The studio’s dual emphasis on unscripted ventures and a dedicated YA division positions it to capture diverse viewer interests while maintaining high production standards.
