Sunny Start, Cool Midday: Easter Weather in the Midwest
Midwest USASun Apr 05 2026
Early on Easter Sunday, people in the Twin Cities and nearby areas will feel a crisp chill as temperatures hover between 20 and 35 degrees. The sun shines bright in the morning, giving a quick burst of warmth that is soon followed by a blanket of clouds. Those planning outdoor egg hunts should bring warm layers because the cool breeze will linger until noon.
As the day progresses, cloud cover will spread from northern Minnesota across most of the region. A weather system east of Lake Superior is moving away, leaving behind a shift in wind direction from northwest to south. This change brings more cloudiness and the possibility of light rain or snow showers in northern parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin during the night.
The following Monday will start off cloudy, especially in the north, but sunshine is expected to return by afternoon. Temperatures will stay in the 30s and feel cold for most of the day. By Tuesday, winds from the south will push new clouds in, and a few showers could appear through Wednesday.
Throughout the week, temperatures are projected to rise gradually. The early April weather pattern remains typical for the area, with no major storms anticipated in the near future.
