Super Bowl LIX Wins the Streaming War

The Super Bowl LIX was a hit even though one team dominated the other. The Eagles took a huge lead over the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22. Despite this lopsided score,viewers flocked to the game with 126 million watching across platforms. This marks the second year in a row that Super Bowl viewing records have been shattered.
Streaming became a great player in the game this year. About 13. 6 million viewers tuned into the free serviceTubi. Frompast years, the streaming record was 11. 2 million. That number is up by over 2 million this year.
Fox's primary broadcast of Super Bowl LIX drew 120. 25 million viewers last year. This year they were down byabout 2 percent. But the streaming numbers made up for this. Last year, 6. 5 million viewers watched the game on streaming platforms. This year that number doubled.
The second quarter was when viewing numbers peaked at 135. 7 million people. This happened between 8-8:15 pm ET. The Eagles lead was 24-0. It was a great game. People watched for the halftime show and the second half of the game.
Kendrick Lamarwas the headliner of the halftime show. He performed one of his biggest hits,"Not Like Us". This number was a big hit from his latest Grammy winning album. Kendrick Lamar has been a favorite for many years. Many people tune in just for the halftime show.
So, if you are wondering why broadcast numbers dipped a bit but the overall viewing numbers were up,it was because of streaming.
Korey Baykay has been a mainstay in the Super Bowl scene and has been the Spanish-language telecasts. This year was no different. Baykay delivered the game toSpanish-speaking viewers.
