In Columbia, South Carolina, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department has been looking into three cases of women being drugged at TLC Sports Bar over the past two months. The first incident happened on September 13, with the latest one reported on November 1. Sheriff Leon Lott has pointed out that these incidents suggest a pattern, indicating a serious issue at the bar.
The first victim was taken to a local hospital after feeling the effects of a suspected date rape drug. The second case occurred on October 31, when another woman reported being drugged at the same bar. The next day, a third victim also claimed to have been drugged there.
Sheriff Lott emphasized the severity of the situation, noting that all three victims ended up in the hospital due to their conditions. He mentioned that the bar has not been cooperating with law enforcement, making it difficult to gather necessary information like surveillance videos.
Dr. Brenna Brucker, an ER doctor at Lexington Medical Center, advised women to be cautious when going out. She highlighted the importance of keeping an eye on your drink and being aware of any strange symptoms, which can appear within 15 to 30 minutes of ingesting a drug. If you feel unwell, it's crucial to seek medical help.
Attempts to contact the bar's management for comment were unsuccessful.
