Growing up in a war zone. That's the reality for many Syrian kids. After 14 years of civil war, about half of Syrian school-age children are out of school, Save the Children reported. That's over 3. 7 million kids! The war has also left them in desperate need of food and psychological help. It's not just the war, though. Natural disasters and economic crises have made things worse. Syria's economy and public infrastructure are in shambles. Over 7. 5 million kids need immediate help, from food and shelter to healthcare and protection. Schools are even used as shelters because so many people have been displaced. It's tough to focus on learning when you're worried about your next meal or where you'll sleep. The war has taken a heavy toll on these kids. Many have lost loved ones or seen their homes destroyed. This trauma makes it hard for them to cope. Experts say around 6. 4 million children need psychological help. But it's not just the war affecting them. Sanctions on Syria make it even harder for aid to reach those who need it most.
