Tall Dreams and Tiny Clubs: A High School Story

At St. Francis High School, two students are making waves in very different sports. Jaden Soong, a sophomore, is already a golf sensation. He won the CIF state golf championship as a freshman. People think he will play in the PGA Tour one day. Cherif Millogo, a junior, is a basketball star. He is very tall, 7 feet 4 inches. USC just offered him a scholarship. He used to play soccer, so golf is new to him. Jaden could teach him, but finding golf clubs that fit might be a challenge.Basketball coach Todd Wolfson, who is 6 feet 8 inches tall, jokes that he might lend Cherif his clubs. He said, \x22One day I wish to be as tall as Cherif and as good in golf as Jaden is. \x22 Jaden is playing in junior tournaments now. He will probably join his high school golf team in March. This school has some impressive talents. Sports can bring people together. Jaden and Cherif show that even if you play different sports, you can still support each other. It's not just about being good at what you do. It's also about enjoying the journey with friends.
