Teen Charged With New Assaults After More Victims Step Forward

Fairfax County, Virginia, USA,Thu Mar 26 2026
An 18‑year‑old from El Salvador has been arrested in Fairfax County, Virginia for touching female classmates without permission. Police first learned of the incidents on March 5 when Fairfax High School reported several assaults. A warrant was issued and the suspect turned himself in two days later. During the investigation, four additional girls said they were also touched, so authorities added those accusations to his record. The student is now held in the county detention center and cannot post bail.
The U. S. Department of Homeland Security says he entered the country illegally in 2024, and Customs and Border Protection has asked for his removal. The agency urged the county to honor its request so he would not be able to harm anyone else in this country. Parents in the area reacted strongly, with one mother saying she felt “terrified” because her daughters thought school was a safe place. She added that the idea of sexual assault during class changes is “completely distraught. ” The school district said it takes student safety seriously and works closely with police whenever someone reports a problem. It also stated that it could not share details because of privacy rules, but it thanked law‑enforcement partners for acting quickly.
