Tehran Faces Rising Storm of Bombs
Tehran, IranTue Mar 03 2026
The city of Tehran is under heavy attack after three days of air strikes from the United States and Israel. Buildings are close to collapsing, with broken metal, shattered glass, and torn paper scattered everywhere. In a hospital room, the windows are blown out, bricks and rubble pile around the bed.
Residents say the fighting is getting worse. In the evening, Israeli forces warned people near Evin Prison—home to political prisoners—to leave immediately. They said staying in the area would be dangerous.
Targeted sites include state TV offices on Vali Asr Street, near the old Parliament building in downtown Tehran. Residents recorded the sound of jets and explosions on a social media platform, as if they were holding a town hall meeting.
A local man named Kamran texted a reporter that the attacks feel like “bunker bombs, ” with one explosion after another. He asked not to reveal his name because he feared for his safety.
The situation shows how quickly the city is being damaged and how frightened its people feel. The fighting continues, with no sign of stopping soon.
