Texas Warming Up Before Halloween Rain

Texans in North Texas are in for a treat this weekend: unusually warm weather. However, don't get too comfortable, as cooler temperatures and possible rain are on the horizon next week. Tons of sunshine and high temperatures in the upper 80s are expected through Saturday, but a slight cooldown comes after that. The National Weather Service in Fort Worth advises not to alter any Halloween plans just yet since the exact nature of the upcoming rain remains uncertain. Temps have been significantly higher than normal, sometimes by as much as 15 degrees. Looking ahead, the middle of next week will bring a shift in weather patterns, with a chance of rain hitting about 60% to 80%. It's still early to predict how much rain will fall, though; forecasts six to eight days out are always a bit hazy. The Dallas-Fort Worth area hasn't seen much rain lately. Since September 25, only 0. 1 inches were recorded at DFW International Airport, and 1. 08 inches at Dallas Love Field. This October has been the driest on record for the region, according to NBC5's meteorologist, Grant Johnston.
