Thanksgiving Football Surprises: Bears’ Blunder, Cowboys’ Comeback, and Packers’ Power
Fri Nov 29 2024
On Thanksgiving, football fans enjoyed three exciting games. The Bears lost to the Lions due to a costly timeout mistake by their coach. The Cowboys, despite losing their starting quarterback, are still hoping for a playoff push. Lastly, the Packers dominated the Dolphins with a strong offensive and defensive performance.
The Bears/Lions game started with Detroit leading 16-0. The Bears fought back with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams throwing three touchdown passes. However, a missed timeout call near the end cost the Bears the game. They lost 23-20 to the Lions, who now have the best start in their franchise history with an 11-1 record.
The Cowboys, playing without their starting quarterback, beat the Giants 27-20. Cooper Rush, the backup quarterback, and running back Rico Dowdle played impressively. The Cowboys are now 5-7 and still aiming for the playoffs.
In the final game, the Packers defeated the Dolphins 30-17. Running back Josh Jacobs had a career day, scoring a touchdown and gaining 100 yards. The Packers' defense also played well, sacking the Dolphins’ quarterback four times. The Packers are now 9-3 and face the Lions next week.
